Rochen is one of the "hosts of old" as I once called such hosts. This means they've been around for quite a while, and the do business as businesses used to be done. Not to be disregarded is the fact they're heavy supporters of Joomla, one of the most popular open source content management systems out there.

"(...) have been through NUMEROUS web hosts, encountering serious problems *cough* hostonce, rjcuk and dot5hosting *cough*. There was once (without mentioning names) a host that just shut up and deleted my entire site without sending me a backup or giving me warning.
In 2003 I finally found a great host with lewismedia.com, with great personel and service. They eventually decided to not do the webhosting so much, and recomended me to ROCHEN, both Rochen and Lewismedia worked together to transfer my site Quickly & Perfectly!
From here on I have had nothing but success and happy times with my websites/hosting, if I have a problem I.E. with a script, that maybe I have caused, I just submit a simple "Support Ticket" and they will fix it within hours. This integrity and honesty in disseminating information to their customers, to me shows the high level of respect they have for their customers.
In my experience the support staff treat every single request or question seriously, no matter how trivial (or for lack of a better word) stupid, put time and thought into their answers, and always respond courteously. "(...)I'm treated as if I was a high profile client - that I appreciate most from Rochen.
Server uptime is excellent - if it weren't for Rochen's server announcements, I wouldn't have known that the server was down at all - the downtime was just that short. Plain outages are always reported via their forums with constant updates on progress.
Rochen staff doesn't sleep at all, it seems. They're always on top of things. Tickets are answered quickly and are very helpful.
My only regret is not finding them sooner."
