This page is dedicated to listing all kinds of websites that I
found useful and that talk in some way about web hosting. That means
that they contain web hosting reviews, list web hosting companies (web
hosting directories) or publish articles about web hosting.
Reseller Web Hosting Guide - A
nice site that publishes a very nice set of articles that address
hosting resellers and their needs.
Linux Commands - A very good resource of reviews of existing and new hosting tools, tutorials, product news and information for small to large hosting companies and webmasters.
UK Reseller Web Hosting - A website with philosophy similar to my own site, that focuses on UK hosting.
Joomla.com
- The new home of the CMS (content management system) that I use on WHReviews.com
The Web Hosting Report - A very
informative website that gives a generic description of the web hosting
industry as it is today. Very useful for those who want to start a web
hosting business.
A list of hosts - a very original technique of determining bettwen good hosts and bad hosts. It has its flaws, but it's very interesting nonetheless, and the amount of work put into it is very impressive.
Cheap Web Hosting Directory - Guide to low cost web hosting providers with reviews of their services and other useful hosting related resources.
Host
News - a site dedicated to the hosting industry news. It
features some of my articles.
HostHelp
- it's a very useful site, written by Debbie, the owner of FutureQuest.
Goodwebhosting.info - an
informational website that discusses web hosting and its many problems.
Webhost Customer Support Certification
- A website that values honesty, integrity and trust. Hosts can apply
for a customer support certification.
Free Webspace - Directory of free
web hosting providers with forums, user ratings, reviews and searchable
database of over 800 free webhosts.
Absolutely free web hosting - No,
this is not a free web hosting provider. It's a website that keeps an
eye on the free hosting arena and reviews free web hosts.
Free Web Hosting Top 20 - Free web
hosting providers index, with detailed description.
WebHostingChat.com - A very nice
web hosting and website development forum.
HostSearch
- features some great articles about web hosting. Really interesting.
HostHideout
- a very good web hosting forum. It can be useful although it's slighly
more focused on hosts and their problems rather than hosting clients.
ForumHosts
- this is a very well written, sincere website. I agree with most of
what it teaches. The only bad thing about it is that the articles are
rather old and the examples are less representative now.
FindMyHosting
- One of the few places where where you can find real web hosting
reviews. You can also post a web hosting review there. Note that I am
still skeptic about some of the reviews there, as I am about all
reviews posted on classic "web hosting directories" or "web hosting
reviews" websites.
WebHostingRatings - A site where you can read and post web hosting reviews. Note
that I am still skeptic about some of the reviews there too. Using
common sense is a very good practice. Also the reviews are rather old.
It seems to me that no reviews are more recent than August 2003.
Aaron
Register - Web Hosting Directory - reviews (criticizes) the
results of the Google search engine for popular web hosting related
search terms. It's very useful in explaining why you should trust/not
trust websites.
A Guide to Hosting and Managed Services
- An educational site that will help you learn about hosting related
terms and ways to improve your hosting experience.
