LiquidWeb has been on my radar for a very long while indeed. They're an old host (1997), own their own data centers, and have been one of the favorite managed VPS providers for just about as long as I have been following the fates of hosts, and I've read positive comments on their service more often than I can recall. They specialize in fully managed solutions, VPS and dedicated servers. They provide shared hosting as well, but feedback on this service of theirs is scarce.

As with most companies over a certain size, feedback out there is not 100% positive. Some customers fall through a crack here and there, or are simply over demanding. They're nevertheless a provider I would turn to for a fully managed VPS or dedicated server.

I've been using a VPS from them to host my Hostpeek.com project for a year now, and it runs like clockwork.

Coupons: You can use the WHT10OFFVPS coupon code for $10 off VPS prices and $20 worth of additional upgrades, or the DOUBLE_THE_RAM coupon code for twice the regular amount of RAM on their dedicated servers. This makes an otherwise rather expensive hosting proposition, quite competitive.

"I've used both the VPS and dedicated server offerings at Liquidweb (LW). They've been extremely reliable and the few times I've had contact with support they were friendly and responsive. Reboots after kernel updates are the only downtime I recall on my dedicated server and it's been a year since I moved from VPS to dedicated. There have been a couple of reboots as the result of some oddball specialized software I run but that shouldn't be counted against them.

Thinking back, when I was on VPS at LW, they were probably more reliable than dedicated servers I've had with other companies. (...)"

While they are more expensive them most, they certainly can back up the price with a great service. If your site is valuable to you, I would say that LW is definitely worth it. If all your site is, is a hobby to you, then go with a cheaper host.

I had a dedicated server with them and they were always really good about support and uptime. Yes I do agree though, slightly more expensive "

"Guys, I have been at liquidweb for a about a month and I HAVE to say. These guys are the best. I have no affiliation with them and I feel obligated to post a review because I was jumping from one provider to another, trying to find a good VPS solution, until I found liquidweb.

Oh my god, I have posted more than 30 different tickets at the helpdesk and NONE took more than 10 minutes to be answered. Also, none took more than 25 minutes to be RESOLVED except one, which took about 8 hours to be resolved:

For this ticket, I request help with a third party application (clipshare). The technician said: Sure I can help! Poor guy. We exchanged more than 60 (sixty) emails in 8 hours. He worked together with me for 8 straight ours until the problem was completely solved. I actually felt sorry for the guy. I actually thought: "what if this guy have to go? does he have a family?".

I have never seen something like that."
