DownTownHost is a good web hosting company. Not very large, but very well run by it's owner, Jorge. He seems to be a very friendly and helpful guy as you'll be able to see if you'll read these reviews (and also if you'll read the threads at WebHostingTalk.com where I found these).

My experience with downtownhost.com... My experience with downtown host has been great, and you will see why if you read further. I'm posting this to give anyone with questions my feedback as how my experience has been with Jorge (The owner of downtownhost.com) First I will start off with the good, then to the very little bad parts.

I will add to this review. I have been with Jorge for 2+ years. I have 12 of my own sites and a few other peoples for 20 total thru a reseller account. Jorge has many times gone above and beyond. If you use the help desk for the few issues you do have they are attended to pronto and professionally. My bottom line is this- as long as I have sites I will never leave Downtown/Sexy-Hosting. Their product and service is first class.

This is funny. I have two virtual hosting plans, one at downtownhost and the other at fluidhosting. With neither one of them you can go wrong, I guarantee you that Jorge from Downtownhost is lightning fast in answering emails and in solving problems. My site (turcic.com) has virtually no downtimes. I have another plan (dubrovnik.org) at fluidhosting, simply because fluidhosting is better reachable from Europe. Never had a problem with them either, email contact was fast and very friendly. I'd say if you plan to attract people from outside US, go for the slightly more expensive FH, which offers the better network (Internap). But again, DH is also wonderful

I've been searching for a suitable host for quite some time and I came across downtownhost's hosting plan that looks very good and tempting. However, one of my friend is using www.downtownhost.com . She said that Downtownhost.com is a very lousy host to host with. I wonder why. She said that the support staff are sarcastic, negative and always criticizing. She said if u ever host with them, forget about getting a caring and friendly support staff. Anybody care to shed a light on this? Thanks in advance.

I posted that I needed some help on installing vbulletin.. and Jorge offered to do it for free. We ran into a few snags along the way (nothing major) but he still insisted on doing it for free even though (in my opinion) it was more work than expected. I got better free help from him than most of the people I pay for help. Just thought I'd share..
