Fluid Hosting is a good company and I admire the knowledgeability of their owner. Their prices are definitely not the smallest I've seen, but, as you'll see, they have plenty of happy customers. So indeed it seems you do get what you pay for.

"I selected Fluid based on good reviews I read here and I wanted to let everyone know that they are an honest and very supportive web host. I spent two weeks on Fluid before deciding to move to a larger reseller environment. I was trying out two during a rapid need to leave an unnamed host that I had been with for awhile. I did not leave for any negative reason at all. Fluid support is incredible the servers are the fastest I've been on and everything was up to or better than their claims. Then they actually refunded my money the same day! and they asked why I was leaving so they could improve any shortcomings. (...)"

"I have nothing but praise for fluidhosting. I had a shared windows plan with them for over a year, and only left because I moved my windows hosting onsite at my office....I'm actually thinking about grabbing one of their VPS plans, for backup. But, again, IMO they are a top notch operation....."

"This is funny. I have two virtual hosting plans, one at
downtownhost and the other at fluidhosting. With neither one of them
you can go wrong, I guarantee you that. Jorge from Downtownhost is
lightning fast in answering emails and in solving problems. My site
(turcic.com) has virtually no downtimes.
I have another plan (dubrovnik.org) at fluidhosting, simply because
fluidhosting is better reachable from Europe. Never had a problem with
them either, email contact was fast and very friendly.
I'd say if you plan to attract people from outside US, go for the
slightly more expensive FH, which offers the better network (Internap).
But again, DH is also wonderful"

"I've been with Fluidhosting for several months now and can highly recommend them. I haven't noticed any downtime to speak of, they respond to inquiries quickly, and they notify of you of problems if they occur. As an example, they recently experienced some downtime on one of their Windows servers on July 6 (the first time its happened since I've been with them), and they sent the following reply:
"One of our windows servers did not respond to start command, causing all web sites hosted on the server to be down. You are contacted because your site is on this particular server. Our systems administrators have detected this problem immediately and worked on finding out and fixing the problem straight away. After some troubleshooting was done, the problem was discovered and a workaround was implemented immediately so that the web service can be brought back up as soon as possible. We sincerely apologize for the inconvenience this may have caused you. Unfortunately this means that we were unable to deliver 99.5% uptime to you this month. As per our Service Level Agreement, you are entitled for 15% refund of your total payment, prorated to a one month period. This refund can be added to your account as a credit, to reduce your next payment."
I wasn't actually aware this downtime occurred, but its nice to know they are upfront about it and are willing to offer refunds if they cannot meet their stated uptime. Since I've been with them (March 2003), Fluidhost has worked out great and has been about the best web hosting experience I've had. (...)"

Well, I did a lot of research before buying a domain &
the right hosting company for hosting my personal website. I came
across Featuredhost.com while searching on the net. I exchanged few
emails with the person in charge. I found the rates pretty cheap too
compared to other Hosting companies.
So,I went ahead with this hosting company. It's been 6 months &
to tell u very frankly I am very much satisfied with it. The guy/owner
has become a friend of mine. Support is usually prompt either on Email
+ MSN almost 15 hrs a day. It's reliable and robust. My personal
advice, go for Featuredhost.com

there and communicate very well with their customers.

"I've been with FluidHosting for almost a year now (about 11
1/2 months, to be more precise) and they've been everything I'd expect
from a great host. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable and will go
the extra mile for you. The servers are top notch, as is the Internap
bandwidth. Downtime is, for the most part, nonexistent.
I don't have any experience with their Windows hosting, but I wouldn't
expect anything less than the service they provide on their Unix
servers. If you go with them, you'll be in good hands."

Fast Severs(2x1G CPU+ 4G RAM), fast connection (Internap) and prompt
response to support tickets.
I really enjoyed their VPs since last November.
Due to their uptime records, they don't put any announcement or network
status pages/mailing lists for customers.
I knew their downtime in this forum and I hope they improve on this
even they should have had improve their redundant network
infrastructure for better uptime(~=100%)."

"Now I have only been with them 5mths and I haven't had not 1
problem, everything works, speed is great and service is EXCELLENT. The
only thing I had to get use to was going from CPANEL to HSPHERE now
that took some getting use too.
So would I recommend FH ABSOLUTELY, I'm in the process of converting my
clients over to FH and recommending new ones there. Now lets hope I get
some sort of discount from there once I convert my clients if not oh
well."

Fluidhosting runs a forum too. It's not very populated, but you might be able to get in contact with some of their clients and ask them what they feel about the service: forums.fluidhosting.com
